Percy Witts Wakes

At exactly 9:47 AM Percy Witts woke up for the 5th time and managed to get out of bed for the first time. His bedroom walls were a faded pink that had been painted by the daughter of his landlord years ago. Throughout his room, there were various memorials marking the space as that of a young child and very much not that of a 23-year-old young man. There was a framed portrait of Justin Timberlake right next to the window facing directly opposite his workstation. Right next to his full-length mirror was a line of stickers following the child's growing height ending with Master Shifu at 5'6. A fan-least favorite was the massive poster of Princess that occupied the ceiling. Princess the pug was the most sorry-looking creature ever created by the hands of Providence and his face provided gallons of nightmare fuels for Percy's dreams. The most poignant of the leftovers was a now 18-year-old Painted Turtle ironically named Percy, the last remains of a zealous Percy Jackson phase whose only other marker was the life-sized trident in the closet. Percy shook a bottle of flakes and watched as they slowly landed at the bottom of the aquarium and were slowly eaten by the turtle.
